Network Security Administrator position located in Denver, CO.

About the Role

The objective of this engagement is to provide specialized network and cyber security administration support to ensure state agencies maintain secure, compliant, and modern network infrastructures. This role focuses on the mitigation of operational challenges, hardware lifecycles, and the execution of critical security requests.

Responsibilities

  • Review and execution of Firewall Service Requests (FSRs), break-fix tickets, and formal change requests.
  • Facilitate the decommissioning and "refresh" of End-of-Life (EOL) hardware on a recurring basis.
  • Implement security controls and configurations to ensure agencies remain in alignment with IRS, FBI, and CJI compliance standards.
  • Technical configuration and management of Cisco ASA and Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Mirror the duties and availability of a Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) staff member.
  • Participate in a weekly on-call rotation to address after-hours incidents.
  • Availability for scheduled maintenance windows or emergency response situations outside of standard business hours.

Requirements

  • Must be able to pass criminal, financial background checks, and drug test.

Skills

  • Palo Alto Firewalls: Next-generation firewall features such as Zones, security policies, S2S VPN, NATing, and basic threat prevention.
  • Cisco ASA Firewalls: Configuration, troubleshooting, and rule management.
  • General Networking: Foundational knowledge of routing protocols, subnetting, OSI model.

Schedule

  • Standard Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
  • On-Call Rotation: Weekly on-call rotation to address after-hours incidents.

Pay

$114,000–135,000 per year.
