About the role

Support ERDC's technical evaluation of project development for supply chain visibility and stress-testing tools on an agile development cycle across multiple customers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise on real-world supply chain challenges to drive testing and evaluation analyses that can accurately measure project success.
  • Design and execute hypothesis-driven qualitative research, integrating primary insights with secondary data to drive research and development priorities.
  • Translate abstract government challenges into tractable, well-defined hypothesis research problems.
  • Digest complex datasets and translate findings into clear decision-ready insights for multi-disciplinary audiences.
  • Present generalized research findings for broad audiences in civil and military work.
  • Prepare and publish high-impact academic papers suitable for leading scientific journals.

Requirements

  • PhD in Engineering, Network Science, Neuroscience, Physics, or a similar field (experienced researchers with an MS will also be considered).
  • Demonstrable research experience in understanding and modeling the impact of external stimuli on complex networks.
  • Strong and consistent record of publications in top-tier, peer-reviewed academic journals (highly preferred).
  • Proven, high-level skill in communicating complex scientific concepts, research, and results to both expert and non-expert audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple, often disparate, research projects concurrently across different domains.
  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced, client-focused consulting or advisory environment (a significant plus).

Pay

$83,000–$110,000 per year.
