Supply Chain Analytics - Data Scientist

Responsibilities

  • Drive data quality improvements in commodity specific demand forecasts.
  • Troubleshoot and confirm Supplier forecast accuracy inquiries for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collect, validate, and analyze large datasets from multiple business systems.
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Partner with suppliers and internal stakeholders to identify root causes and corrective actions that will avoid future production downtime and expedite costs.
  • Build dashboards, visualizations, and automate current reports using Microsoft PowerApps, Co-Pilot AI, and PowerBI.
  • Maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Monitor KPI performance to identify process gaps impacting both customer satisfaction and on-time delivery performance.
  • Recommend and support implementation of process improvements that enhance delivery reliability and responsiveness for top customer accounts.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Sales, Procurement, Manufacturing, Customer Service, and Finance teams to improve processes through data-driven decision making and problem solving.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science/Analytics, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Natural Science, Economics, Engineering or similar quantitative field and no experience OR Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science/Analytics, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Natural Science, Economics, Engineering or similar quantitative field and no experience and will obtain degree prior to first day of employment.
  • Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
  • Able to develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Possess strong analytical skills.
  • Strong in Excel and able to work with complex spreadsheets.
  • Commercial vehicle technical experience a plus.
  • Must be able to get results through influence.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Experienced with PowerBI.
