Network Operations Center - Shift Lead with Security Clearance

About the Role

The NOC Tier 1 Shift Lead oversees a team of Tier 1 Network Operations Center (NOC) technicians during assigned shifts, ensuring efficient monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution of network issues. Operating in a 24/7 environment, this role is critical for maintaining network stability and delivering exceptional customer support.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of Tier 1 NOC technicians during assigned shifts.
• Coordinate task assignments and provide technical guidance to the team.
• Escalate complex issues to higher-tier support as needed.
• Maintain operational efficiency and ensure high-quality customer support.
• Support complex PCs and LAN/WAN networks throughout the organization.
• Test and evaluate hardware and software for efficiency, reliability, and compatibility.
• Analyze test data and recommend hardware or software purchases.
• Handle complex issues and refer only the most challenging problems to higher-level staff.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a CBP Background Investigation/clearance (required).
• Some billets may require DoD Secret or Top Secret access.
• Relevant certifications such as ITIL v3, CompTIA, or CCNA.
• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in Tier 1 support operations.
• Strong understanding of network fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing protocols, network topology, and basic troubleshooting techniques.
• Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with customers, technical teams, and management.
