Network Operations Center (NOC) Analyst - Syracuse, NY

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor client networks, servers, endpoints, backup systems, and patch deployment status.
• Triage and resolve alerts, perform initial troubleshooting, and escalate complex issues to senior staff.
• Track, monitor, and assist with deployment of critical and high-priority patches, ensuring client compliance.
• Verify backup jobs, troubleshoot failures, and escalate unresolved backup issues.
• Maintain accurate incident, remediation, and resolution records within ticketing systems.
• Collaborate with Tier 2/3 engineers and SOC staff on escalated incidents or projects.
• Support vulnerability remediation and follow security best practices across client environments.
• Provide clear, timely updates to internal teams and clients regarding incidents and ongoing tasks.

Skills and Qualifications

• Achieved associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
• 1+ years of IT support, help desk, or network monitoring experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching).
• Familiarity with system and network monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems (basic troubleshooting and administration).
