Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring & Incident Management
- Perform real-time monitoring, analyzing and isolation of network infrastructure (WAN/LAN, backbone, SD-WAN, VPN).
- Analyze systems and cloud environments, data center infrastructure, and critical applications via alarm surveillance.
- Demonstrate discipline, urgency, and attentiveness in responding to alarms and incidents.
- Manage incident lifecycle through trouble ticket system (detection → triage → escalation → resolution).
- Document trouble tickets and internal communications thoroughly.
- Data Center & Facilities Awareness
- Monitor and correlate IT alerts with data center facility conditions.
- Understand network technologies (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPN).
- Be familiar with systems and infrastructure (Windows, M365, Linux, virtualization, cloud).
- Familiar with Cisco equipment.
- Understand cyber security functions.
- Have basic knowledge of data center facilities management including:
- Power systems (UPS, redundancy, power distribution, PUE awareness).
- Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) and environmental controls (temperature, humidity, cooling capacity).
- Physical security and fire protection systems.
- Coordinate with Facility Teams
- Work with facility teams during incidents impacting IT services.
Qualifications
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Basic understanding of IT service management processes and tools.
- Experience with Cisco equipment and familiarity with cyber security functions.
- Good understanding of data center facilities management.
