6+ month contract position in Burlington, MA supporting a large, integrated healthcare system during a critical network IP address remediation project.
About the Role
This hands-on, customer-facing role focuses on updating and validating printer connectivity across healthcare facilities while providing general IT support as needed. Technicians will work directly with end users to ensure devices remain operational following network changes, requiring strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently in healthcare environments.
Responsibilities
- Support a large-scale IP address remediation project across healthcare facilities
- Identify, reconfigure, and validate network-connected printers and peripheral devices impacted by network changes
- Work directly with clinical and business users to coordinate device updates and minimize disruption
- Verify printer functionality, connectivity, and print services following IP address changes
- Troubleshoot printer, network, and connectivity issues related to device reconfiguration
- Provide Tier 1-2 in-person field support as needed outside of the project scope
- Support PCs, printers, peripherals, and mobile devices (iOS/Android)
- Document work performed and update tickets within the ITSM ticketing system
- Communicate effectively with end users, field services teams, and project stakeholders
- Deliver excellent customer service while working in clinical and patient care environments
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-3 years of Field Support, Desktop Support, or IT Support experience in a large enterprise environment
- Hands-on experience supporting:
- Network printers and print services
- Windows 10/11 environments
- Microsoft Office / O365
- Active Directory
- Basic networking concepts
- Mobile devices (iOS & Android)
- Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Remedy
- Understanding of basic network fundamentals, including:
- IP Addressing
- DHCP
- DNS
- Networked devices and printing
- Strong communication, documentation, and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple site visits and tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- CompTIA A+ or Network+ Certification
- Experience supporting HP, Lexmark, Zebra, Ricoh, or other enterprise printer technologies
- Healthcare IT environment experience
- Familiarity with print management solutions such as LRS or similar enterprise print platforms
- Previous experience supporting network migrations, infrastructure projects, or enterprise technology rollouts
- Experience working in hospital, clinical, or patient-care settings

- Role is hands-on and physical, requiring standing, walking, and transporting equipment throughout healthcare facilities
- Work is performed in patient-care, clinic, and administrative environments
- Local travel between healthcare sites may be required
