Network Management Tools Engineer

The Network Management Tools Engineer will be responsible for managing and supporting the management tools in the environment, including installing new vendor releases, security/OS patches, and ensuring network tools are kept up to date and compliant with AFS security standards.
Responsibilities
- Meet with AFS IT stakeholders to review reports for the network management tools; map scope, create and update required design/architecture documentation
- Work support tickets, make changes where necessary using the CR process
- Escalate issues/concerns to management
- Provide network engineer/admin support to configure and test the solution
- Perform system maintenance, OS patching, and application releases on Linux appliance network tools
- Ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting quality assurance tests
- Develop/transition operational processes and procedures for Ops teams to support solution
Requirements
- US Citizen on US soil (required)
- 3 year(s) of expert level experience in LAN technologies (switches, routers, wireless and firewalls) including centralized monitoring and management in large-scale, high-availability environments
- 2 year(s) of experience in IT infrastructure, TCP/IP, networking and information system security principles, practices and technologies
- 3 year(s) of experience working with core Internet routing protocols and services
- 2 year(s) of experience working with Juniper SRX firewalls
- 2 year(s) of experience working with Cisco FTD/Firepower
- 1-2 year(s) of experience working with Palo Alto virtual firewall and Panorama Central Support solutions
- 1 year experience with Linux
- Familiarity with Firemon, Algosec or Tufin
- Familiarity with Gluware, Solarwinds, or Ansible
- Familiarity with Regex
Pay
The base pay range for this position in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland is $78,600—$160,200 USD. Compensation varies depending on office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
