Network Engineer Senior
About the role
Join us at the Fort Carson Colorado Mission Training Complex as a Network Engineer Senior. Your work will be impactful to the mission of federal and defense customers, ensuring uninterrupted communication and real-time data sharing through the design, securing, and maintaining of resilient network architectures.
Responsibilities
- Tailor cutting-edge solutions to the unique requirements of our customer
- Lead/Manage/Support complex enterprise network designs, implementations, and upgrades across multi-enclave environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, cybersecurity, operations, and military/civilian stakeholders
- Drive network performance optimization, proactive monitoring, and troubleshooting of tier-III escalations
- Utilize advanced routing/switching protocols, firewalls, and modern network automation tools
Requirements
- BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of related experience
- Comprehensive expertise in routing and switching protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP)
- Experience managing MTC integration and use of networks owned and managed by external organizations, including NIPR, SIPR, CENTRIXS, tactical networks, and other networks as required
- Collaboration & Coordination: Coordinates network design requirements and responsibilities with other MTCs, training sites, training units, and external network and communications organizations
- Tactical Communications & Encryption: Manage, configure, and operate TACLANE cryptographic/network encryption devices to secure communication pathways
- Hands-on Operations: Performs set up, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting for LAN/WAN, encryption, DNS, DHCP, Firewall, security, software-defined network (SDN), voice, video, data, collaboration, and Cloud components
Qualifications
- Active Secret clearance required to start
- IAM Level 2 and Computing Environment Certifications

Pay
The likely salary range for this position is $85,093 - $109,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
