Network Engineer (Jr. to Mid level)

About the role

The Decision Advantage Business Area at Leidos currently has openings for Network Engineers to work in their Orlando, FL office. This is an exciting opportunity to get your career started by supporting the critical United States Air Force (USAF) Network Program.

Responsibilities

• Provide Network Engineering support to include planning, designing, and evaluating specific network architecture.
• Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Juniper network hardware and software.
• Develop and manage policies and profiles to optimize application delivery and security.
• Work with Tier 2 Managers to establish regular monitoring of network devices to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct regular security assessments and implement necessary updates and patches under the guidance of Cyber Team members.
• Support Classified IT infrastructure.
• Provide technical expertise to resolve networking events, as well as update and configure equipment while maintaining a configuration management process throughout the systems life cycle.

Requirements

• BS in a relevant technical discipline with 2-8 years of overall related experience, or MS in a relevant technical discipline.
• Current and Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI.
• Knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and security practices.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• A strong desire for continual learning and skills development.

Qualifications

• Juniper Certified or Cisco Certified Red Hat support experience.
• SD-WAN experience.
• Experience with, or knowledge of SAFe Agile implementation.
• Experience with large weapons systems and command and control platforms across the DoD portfolio.
• Experience with, or knowledge of Cloud and Edge Computing and Networks.
