About the role

Responsibilities
- Initial point of contact for escalation issues for connectivity and network performance.
- Provision and deploy network equipment and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Communicate and work with other technical teams to design effective solutions, identify technical requirements, and develop project plans to execute the delivery of the solution.
- Support in troubleshooting and resolving operational issues related to network and server equipment.
- Participate in scheduled maintenance and updates, following established procedures.
- Assist in conducting regular audits of network operations assets and inventory.
- Monitor network performance and respond to alerts in a timely manner.
- Help maintain network security protocols, including monitoring access logs and enforcing security policies.
- Support network testing, ensuring system integrity and availability.
- Plan and estimate projects and track progress using software applications including Jira, Cherwell, Smartsheet, etc.
- Constantly learn new technologies and skills via media, courses, or new applications.
- Provide wireless network design and support.
- Assist in data center cleanliness, organization, and safety protocols.
- Support the documentation and updating of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and other relevant documentation.
- Participate in the maintenance of fire suppression, HVAC, and other critical systems within the facility.
- Work closely with network operations staff to learn best practices and operational procedures.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance knowledge of network operations.
- Contribute to special projects as assigned, including data analysis and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited university or college, either at the undergraduate or master’s level.
- One semester post-graduation
Physical Demands
- Sitting for extended periods of time.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computer components.
