Responsibilities
- Aid in the creation of innovative heavy-lift/heavy-transport solutions.
- Support Barnhart Engineers in completing assigned tasks and required deliverables.
- Perform AutoCAD/Inventor modeling.
- Create equipment layout drawings.
- Conduct basic steel design and calculations.
- Aid in engineering process and proposal creation (e.g., reference charts, Excel templates).
- Communicate regularly and clearly with Manager and other Barnhart team members.
- Provide local field support as needed.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering discipline from an ABET accredited institution.
- Prefer experience in the construction industry.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Mechanical aptitude preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems and quickly determine corrective actions.
- Creative thinking skills to make continuous improvements.
- Proven organizational skills.
- AutoCAD and solid modeling experience preferred but not required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
- Flexibility to work long hours as needed, some weekend work required.
