Summary
The Network Engineer I will demonstrate exceptional technical competency, delivering mission-critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and security. They will work independently and perform complex tasks involving the design, deployment, installation, modification, testing, documentation, and upgrading of networking devices.
Responsibilities
- Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS) with assistance from a Network Engineer II or III
- Perform network maintenance, including firmware updates and security patches
- Maintain system availability and reliability through monitoring performance
- Provide Level 1/2 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
- Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes to the network infrastructure
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
- Create processes and documentation to support network maintenance and management
Minimum Education Required
- A High School Diploma/GED
- 3+ years related experience
