Network Engineer (AWS Cloud)

About the role

We are seeking a Network Engineer (AWS Cloud) to support enterprise networking and AWS cloud infrastructure in a hybrid environment. This role is ideal for a strong network engineer who has hands-on AWS networking and Terraform experience and wants to work across both traditional infrastructure and cloud engineering.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain enterprise WAN/LAN networking infrastructure.
• Support Cisco routing and switching.
• Configure and manage firewalls and network security technologies.
• Configure AWS networking infrastructure, including Gateway Load Balancers (GWLB) and network endpoints.
• Use Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
• Support cloud migration and cloud engineering initiatives.
• Manage load balancers and WAF technologies.
• Support VPN and remote-access solutions.
• Work with DNS, DHCP, BGP, RADIUS, TACACS+, and related network services.
• Monitor network performance and system availability.
• Lead network outage response and root cause analysis.
• Implement long-term solutions to recurring network issues.
• Support security hardening and regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and present to senior management.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional network engineering experience.
• Strong Cisco networking experience.
• Hands-on AWS networking experience.
• AWS networking experience with GWLB and network endpoints.
• Terraform / Infrastructure as Code experience.
• Firewall configuration and management experience.
• VPN/remote-access experience.
• Load balancer and WAF experience.
• Experience with DNS, DHCP, BGP, RADIUS, and TACACS+.
• Network troubleshooting and root cause analysis experience.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• US Citizen or Green Card holder.
• Ability to work onsite in Portsmouth, NH 2–3 days per week.
• Ability to participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Palo Alto experience.
• GlobalProtect or RSA experience.
• AWS cloud migration experience.
• NIST 800-53 familiarity.
• PCNSA, PCNSE, CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE certifications.
• Bachelor's degree in technology.
• Military technology experience.

Pay

Salary: $100,000–$120,000 per year. On-call week compensation: additional $135 per week.

Schedule

Hybrid work arrangement requiring 2–3 days onsite per week in Portsmouth, NH. On-call rotation: approximately one week every three weeks, providing 24x7 coverage with after-hours work generally performed remotely.
