Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an Network Engineer to support a company focused on delivering resilient, secure network solutions across the global Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN). This position is on-site at Scott AFB, IL or Pearl Harbor, HI. The Network Engineer will provide hands-on network implementation, activation, and operational support for mission-critical DoD networks, ensuring all services are delivered in accordance with DISA standards. This role directly supports national defense operations by enabling reliable, secure connectivity for DoD mission partners worldwide. Responsibilities for the Network Engineer include: Perform installation oversight, configuration, testing, monitoring, and activation of network equipment supporting DoD networksCoordinate customer activities including Initial Test & Acceptance (IT&A), service activations, and DISA-required reportingManage Service Orders and Telecommunication Service Orders (TSOs) in accordance with Change Management proceduresConfigure and implement network devices using approved configlets while validating customer requirements within DISN databasesTroubleshoot, analyze, and resolve network issues by collaborating with customers, solution architects, DISA PMs, and vendor SMEs Required Qualifications for the Network Engineer include: 2–8 years of relevant network engineering experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 2–6 years with a Master’s degreeExperience configuring and supporting enterprise networks using Cisco and/or Juniper technologiesStrong knowledge of routing and switching protocols including BGP, ISIS, OSPF, VLANs, VRFs, WAN, VPN, TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNSExperience performing network configuration, testing, monitoring, performance management, and troubleshootingFamiliarity with DISA standards, Change Management processes, and DoD telecommunications conceptsAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively within a technical team environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsEducation: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a related technical fieldClearance: Active TS/SCICertification: DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) Compensation for the Network Engineer include: Salary Range: depending on experienceFull Benefits Package: PTO, Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement, Sick Leave as required by law Keywords: Implementations Network Engineer, Network Engineer, DISA, DoDIN, DoD Networks, Secret Clearance, Security+, Cisco, Juniper, BGP, ISIS, NOC Operations, Change Management, IT&A, Telecommunications, Scott AFB, Cleared Network Engineer
