Responsibilities
- Support add/move/change (MAC) activities across production financial-markets networks
- Configure and troubleshoot Layer-2 and Layer-3 network services
- Aid with BGP, OSPF, and IS-IS routing changes and troubleshooting
- Support NAT configuration and fault isolation (static and dynamic NAT)
- Aid with IP multicast (IGMP, PIM) used for market data distribution
- Aid with packet capture and traffic analysis (tcpdump, Wireshark or equivalent)
- Aid with Layer-1 troubleshooting including physical connectivity and latency-sensitive paths
- Follow disciplined change, documentation, and operational processes
- Work with senior engineers on automation-enabled configuration and validation
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience supporting global IP networks
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, and Arista platforms
- Strong Layer-2 knowledge (VLANs, trunking, STP, LACP)
- Strong Layer-3 fundamentals (BGP basics, OSPF/IS-IS concepts)
- NAT fundamentals and troubleshooting experience
- Multicast fundamentals (IGMP, PIM)
- Packet capture and analysis skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
