Network Engineer
About the role
The Network Engineer will support the design of U.S. Navy networks. They will develop network topologies, system-driven templates, and IP plans, create test plans and associated documentation, and configure and document SD-WAN solutions.

Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship
- Possession of and the ability to maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Level Security Clearance
- 3+ years of experience developing technical documentation
- Experience with SDN/SD-WAN Technologies and vendors including VMware, NSX-T, Cisco, Juniper, and open-source solutions
- Experience with network configuration for L2/L3 switches, routers, security appliances (firewalls, NIDS, NIPS, etc)
- Experience developing and documenting network topologies
- Experience in troubleshooting and restoring network and system outages
- Experience in virtualization technologies
- Proven track record of performance in client facing roles that require engagement and relationship building with stakeholders across Navy programs, the DoD, or other federal agencies
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physical Science required
- Minimum of six (6) years’ experience supporting the engineering of Information Technology systems for a DoD or Government Agency
- CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) certification; or equivalent
Skills
- Experience with RF communications, specifically MILSATCOM or COMSATCOM technologies
- Experience leveraging NetDevOps or DevSecOps to scale enterprise level engineering projects
- Experience with Network Automation in Python, Ansible, NETCONF, and/or RESTCONF
- Experience modeling network configuration in JSON, YAML, or Jinja
- Experience developing and maturing complex, collaborative networking projects and working autonomously to move network development forward
