Responsibilities
- Monitor data or infrastructure systems for messages, alarms, or issues.
- Identify and resolve issues or problems as appropriate; escalate when necessary.
- Troubleshoot problems using scripts and standard, routine procedures; escalate as appropriate.
- Initiate resolution for enterprise-level routers and switches.
- Interface with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance.
- Process Authorized Service Interruptions (ASIs) as directed by management.
- Maintain required security posture on all network equipment in accordance with DoD and local command mandates and requirements, including updates, STIGs, IOS upgrades, and other basic network security requirements.
- Support special projects and day-to-day operations as needed or assigned by the site lead.
- Participate in the on-call rotation schedule.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current Active DoD Secret clearance.
- Current 8140 IAT Level II (Advanced) certificate (Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) /Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Security).
- Expert knowledge with LAN switching, including VLANs, VTP, Port Security, Spanning Tree, and Layer 2 and 3 switching configurations.
- Expert knowledge with Layer 3 routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, IS-IS, etc.) and best practices on implementation.
- Expert knowledge of DoD network and application security hardening requirements.
- Experienced with programming, maintaining, and troubleshooting encryption devices at network points of presence including management via GEM-X or other DoD management tools.
- Experienced with DoD COMSEC management processes and procedures.

Pay
Competitive compensation package based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Core hours: 6 am - 6 pm; Shift: 9 am - 5 pm (M-F); After hours support - Required (Duty phone will rotate between team members).
Location
Joint Base Anacosta-Bolling (JBAB), Washington DC - 100% on site (with ad-hoc telework).
