Responsibilities
- Provide network engineering support for DFAS CCE infrastructure
- Support maintenance of network architecture documentation
- Aid with security infrastructure operations (Firewalls, IPS/IDS, DNSSEC)
- Support web proxy and content filtering operations
- Aid with network security troubleshooting
- Implement DISA STIG configurations under senior guidance
- Support vulnerability scanning and remediation activities
- Document network changes and configurations
- Participate in change control processes
- Support COOP exercises and testing
Qualifications
- 5+ years network engineering experience
- Security X (formerly CASP+) certification
- Knowledge of enterprise network security technologies
- Experience with firewall and IDS/IPS systems
- Familiarity with DNS and DNSSEC
- Understanding of DISA STIG requirements
- Network troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of DoD security requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- CISSP certification (upgrade path)
- Cisco CCNA/CCNP certification
- Experience with DFAS or DoD networks
- Prior classified network experience
- Scripting skills (Python, PowerShell)
- Cloud networking fundamentals
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
Certifications
- CompTIA Security X (CASP) or equivalent
Clearance
- Active Top-Secret clearance is required.
- Must be a United States Citizen and pass a background check.
- Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC’S Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).
