About the role

Play a key role in driving the stability and sustainability of next-generation IP networks that support the U.S. Intelligence Community. Work with best-in-class Network Engineers to deliver simple, sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes and drive complex issues to resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Own and transform networking projects relating to deployment, implementation, scaling, and/or optimization
  • Partner with our broader Infrastructure organization on configurations standards and tools
  • Collaborate with Systems and Software Engineers to ensure fast, smooth roll-out of new designs and products
  • Deploy and sustain networking software tools

Requirements

  • Must be willing to support an off-hours operations escalation pager rotation
  • Experience dealing with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure
  • The ability to sit in front of computer during scheduled work hours with appropriate breaks while maintaining a high level of alertness and attention to detail
  • Travel to data center/network sites and Amazon/customer offices as needed

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of major internet routing protocols experience
  • 4+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment experience
  • Bachelor's degree, or CEH, CFR, Cloud+, GICSP, or SSCP
  • Knowledge of networking protocols, to include HTTP(S), DNS, and TCP/IP
  • Experience in Agile methodologies and DevOps practices

Skills

  • Experience with network and Unix systems engineering
  • Automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl

Benefits

Includes sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.

Pay

Base salary range: $136,000.00 - $184,000.00 USD annually
