Network Development Eng I, ADC Networking

About the role

Play a key role in driving the stability and sustainability of next-generation IP networks that support the U.S. Intelligence Community. Own and transform networking projects relating to deployment, implementation, scaling, and/or optimization.

Responsibilities

• Work with best-in-class Network Engineers to deliver simple, sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes and drive complex issues to resolution.
• Experience with network and Unix systems engineering.
• Partner with our broader Infrastructure organization on configurations standards and tools.
• Collaborate with Systems and Software Engineers to ensure fast, smooth roll-out of new designs and products.
• Deploy and sustain networking software tools.

Requirements

• Must be willing to support an off-hours operations escalation pager rotation.
• Experience dealing with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
• The ability to sit in front of computer during scheduled work hours with appropriate breaks while maintaining a high level of alertness and attention to detail.
• Travel to data center/network sites and Amazon/customer offices as needed.
• The candidate selected must obtain and maintain a security clearance at the TS/SCI with polygraph level.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of IP networking fundamentals and extensive experience in the application of IP protocols.
• Extensive experience in the application of IP protocols.
• Knowledge of network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting.
• Experience in major internet routing protocols, specifically BGP and OSPF.
• Experience with network operating systems such as Cisco IOS and Junos.
• Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment.

Skills

• Knowledge of IT best practice frameworks (ITIL, COBIT) and operational excellence concepts or methodologies.
• Experience with network hardware and packet forwarding architectures.
• Experience with Unix and scripting in Perl, shell, C or C++.

• Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.

Pay

$114,100.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually
