Network Deployment Manager I, Global Network Delivery

About the role

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. Responsibilities

• Manage a team of technicians responsible for installation and deployment of new network systems and projects.
• Prioritize and assign tasks to data center technicians and operators, project management, coaching and creating documentation.
• Manage inbound capacity from receiving through deployment stages.
• Manage the installation network and cabling infrastructure in a data center environment.
• Guide, train and educate staff on the best practices related to all service owner issues.
• Manage tasks and deliverables across small to large-size projects.
• Recommend, document, and oversee policies and procedures to meet industry best practices and to meet required SLAs.
• Cook up and train data technicians to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
• Drive compliance to Amazon performance management requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of equivalent experience
• 2+ years of Information Technology (IT) experience
• 2+ years of management/team lead function experience

Qualifications

• Experience leading projects, managing and mentoring people, and demonstrating the ability to collaborate with others to deliver technical solutions.
• Experience with network cabling, optic types, and test equipment experience, or experience with network hardware: copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, routers.
• Experience with Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques.
• Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.

• Proven technology management experience.
• Robust technical understanding.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.

USA, AZ, MESA - 78,400.00 - 137,300.00 USD annually
