Network Applications Team (NAT) Software Product Owner (PO) - Supporting IFMC
This position is with the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office (PO).
About the Role
The Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Network Applications Team (NAT) Software Product Owner (PO) will prioritize and validate network application development, updates, and patches. Responsibilities include reviewing systems engineering concepts, designs, and algorithms, and providing guidance to the development team. The PO will develop acceptance criteria for network tasks and stories, verify them, and collaborate with the Cyber team to ensure a hardened cyber posture for the system network.
The role involves setting priorities for capabilities and defects with program management for each product increment and sprint, conducting technical briefings, demonstrations, and advisement to leadership, and reporting on status, recommended courses of action, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts to the IFMC mission.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize and validate network application development, updates, and patches.
- Review and understand systems engineering concepts, designs, and algorithms; provide guidance to the development team.
- Develop and verify acceptance criteria for network tasks and stories.
- Collaborate with the Cyber team to ensure a hardened cyber posture for the system network.
- Work with program management to set priorities for capabilities and defects for each product increment and sprint.
- Conduct technical briefings, demonstrations, and advisement to leadership.
- Report on status, recommended courses of action, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and mission impacts.
Requirements
- Good understanding of networking, including IPv4 and IPv6 addressing, networking device configuration, and network status monitoring.
- Broad understanding of SNMPv3 (desired).
- Ability to work directly with Agile software developers to meet deadlines and program objectives.
- Fluency in the Microsoft Office toolset.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, sciences, or mathematics.
- Minimum of 10 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed above.
- Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance or higher.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS is a plus.
- Experience with JIRA/Confluence is a plus.
- Security+ certification and Linux experience are desired.
- Agilist certification is a plus.
- Strong ability to champion ideas, architectures, and designs; independent critical thinking; and a team-oriented attitude.
