Network Applications Team Software Product Owner
About the role
The Software Product Owner (PO) will work as a member of the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the prioritization and validation of the network application development and updates/patches for the NAT.
- Reviewing/understanding systems engineering concepts/designs/algorithms and providing guidance to the development team.
- Supporting the team in the development of acceptance criteria for network tasks and stories and being responsible for their verification.
- Working with the cyber team to ensure a hardened cyber posture for the system network.
- Working with program management in setting priorities for the capabilities and defects for the team for each product increment and sprint.
- Participating in technical briefings, demonstrations, and advisement to leadership and reporting on status; recommended courses of actions, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts to the IFMC mission.
Requirements
- A good understanding of networking to include IPv4 and IPv6 addressing, networking device configuration, and network status monitoring.
- A broad understanding of SNMPv3.
- Ability to work directly with the Agile software developers to meet deadlines and program objectives.
- Fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset.
- Bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences or mathematics.
- A minimum of 7 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed above.
- Candidate must hold or be able to obtain a Secret security clearance or higher.
- US citizen.
Qualifications
- Knowledge in IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS is desired, but not required.
- Leadership in your domain area and ability to champion your ideas, architectures, and designs.
- Independent critical thinking.
- Experience in JIRA/Confluence is desired, but not required.
- Security + and Linux experience is desired, but not required.
- Agilist certification is desired, but not required.
