Responsibilities
- Work closely with senior network engineers, system administrators, and security teams to troubleshoot issues, resolve incidents, and implement network changes in a collaborative team environment.
- Participate in network design discussions and deployments, supporting equipment setup, cabling, fiber work, and physical infrastructure buildouts while adhering to established standards and best practices.
- Support Cisco ISE and DNA Center (DNA‑C) to manage network access control, policy‑based automation, and assurance in a fast paced environment.
- Implement and manage VLANs, routing policies, access control rules, and network segmentation to support secure, scalable, and logically separated environments.
- Assist in maintaining secure network environments by enforcing firewall rules, VPN configurations, network access control policies, and security best practices in support of compliance and cyber defense objectives.
- Utilize full scope of technical and interpersonal skills to further the mission.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience
- US Citizenship required
- Top Secret/SCI clearance currently held and ability to obtain TS/SCI
Required Technical Skills
- Experience configuring and supporting network switches and routers
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, STP, SNMP, and routing fundamentals
- Hands‑on experience with Cisco ISE and DNA Center (DNA‑C)
- Knowledge of firewalls, ACLs, NAT, and VPN technologies
- Proficiency with VLANs, trunking, inter‑VLAN routing, and segmentation
- Experience with packet capture and analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, NetFlow)
- Familiarity with enterprise wireless technologies and basic RF troubleshooting
- Understanding of network access control systems (RADIUS, TACACS+, 802.1X)
- Working knowledge of cabling standards, fiber infrastructures, and physical network components
Required Certifications
- CompTIA Security+
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with a methodical approach to problem solving
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures, change management processes, and security/compliance requirements
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced, mission‑focused environment
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud networking concepts (Azure or AWS)
- Exposure to SD‑WAN technologies
- Familiarity with VoIP and QoS principles
- Experience with network automation tools or scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Ansible)
Pay
The likely salary range for this position is $106,250 – $143,750. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
