Network Administrator
About the role
Supports the stability, security, and efficient operation of Army enterprise network environments within the NETCOM Global Management Team (GMT). Provides mid-level administration, monitoring, configuration, and troubleshooting of critical network infrastructure that supports the Army Enterprise Network and JRSS environments.
Responsibilities
- Operates within a 24/7/365 mission environment, assisting with incident response, maintaining boundary security devices, applying DoD/Army cybersecurity policies, and collaborating with mission partners such as Theater Signal Commands, DISA, RCCs, and NECs.
- Sustains routers, firewalls, load balancers, and related network services while supporting automation initiatives, documentation updates, and compliance with enterprise security requirements.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor of Science in related field (ex. Information Technology or Cybersecurity)
- Experience: 1+ years of related experience in network administration or support
- Technical Skills: Experience supporting DoDIN Army or DoD networking environments preferred; strong understanding of routing and switching fundamentals (OSPF, BGP basics, VRRP/HSRP); experience working with Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, or similar platforms; familiarity with DISA STIGs, RMF processes, ACAS, and Army cybersecurity compliance; DoD8140 certification required (e.g., Security+ CE, CEH, Cloud+, GCIH, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP); network certification such as CCNA, JNCIA, or equivalent, preferred; Security Clearance: Active Top Secret with SCI

- Ability to support global maintenance windows and after-hours operational needs
- Ideal candidate brings solid technical knowledge, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to support mission-critical systems in a fast-paced operational setting
- Ability to work onsite or hybrid based on mission requirements
- Ability to operate effectively in a 24/7 mission-critical environment
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and analytical skills

Pay
The likely salary range for this position is $68,000 - $92,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
