NETA Field Service Technician

As a Field Service Technician in the Power Solutions Group, you’ll support customers by inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical power distribution equipment. You’ll work hands-on with a wide range of systems, deliver exceptional service, and represent Sunbelt Solomon as a trusted resource in the field.

Responsibilities
- Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and maintain low, medium, and high-voltage electrical distribution equipment.
- Perform electrical testing on transformers, breakers, switchgear, relays, and related equipment.
- Respond to customer needs, including occasional emergency calls with professionalism and urgency.
- Ensure a safe work environment by following company and customer safety standards.
- Maintain accurate daily reports and documentation.
- Properly manage, check in/out, and care for company tools and test equipment.
- Travel locally and regionally, with periodic overnight assignments.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; technical training or associate degree in electrical trades preferred.
- NETA certification preferred; will substitute 5 years of relevant work experience on commercial or industrial electrical projects.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
- Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams and control schematics.
- Skilled in the use of industrial electrical test equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet background and drug-screen requirements.
- Physical capability to work outdoors, lift up to 75 lbs., operate tools, and use required PPE (arc-flash gear, fall protection, respirators, etc.).
- Eligibility to work in the US without employer-sponsored visa.
