Amatriot is seeking a .Net Team Lead to support a government contract located in Arlington, Virginia. This on-site role supports the critical mission of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) by leading a software development team responsible for building applications that support law enforcement operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 5–7 developers supporting the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) mission.
- Guide the team on technical decisions, best practices, and development efficiencies.
- Lead technical planning meetings, conduct peer code reviews, and perform final code reviews.
- Support the modernization of software development practices and apply modern techniques for a modular system.
- Ensure the quality and integrity of software before deployment to production.
- Demonstrate professionalism, strong conduct, and effective execution in a client-facing role.
- Collaborate effectively with leadership and customers.
- Ensure Requirements Analyst data is accurately reflected in the appropriate system of record.
- Develop software using recent experience with C# and JavaScript.
- Develop and maintain web applications using CSS.
- Work with relational data models and SQL.
- Utilize XML and programming libraries for XML manipulation.
- Participate in Agile projects utilizing Team Foundation Server.
- Package and deliver software and documentation to production environments.
- Deliver small projects efficiently and transition frequently between projects and applications.
- Learn new technologies as software applications and environments evolve.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
- Minimum 15 years of web development experience.
- Minimum 5 years of .NET Core/.NET Standard development experience.
- Minimum 10 years of ASP.NET C# MVC web development using Visual Studio 2017 or later.
- Minimum 8 years of experience with Agile development methodologies, including participation in sprints, backlog grooming, and Agile ceremonies.
- Experience as a developer in a software environment supporting more than 10,000 users and a relational database management system (RDBMS) containing more than 250 tables and more than 1 million total rows.
- Experience in at least one software development environment with a minimum of 1,000 automated unit tests.
- Active Secret clearance required.
- U.S. citizenship required.
Skills
- Recent experience with ASP.NET MVC web development.
- Significant recent C# development experience.
- Significant recent JavaScript development experience.
- Significant development experience with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).
- Experience with relational data models and SQL.
- Experience with XML and XML programming libraries.
- Experience using Team Foundation Server in an Agile development environment.
- Ability to deliver small projects quickly and transition between projects and applications.
- Experience packaging and delivering software and documentation to production environments.
- Ability to learn new technologies as applications and environments evolve.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of e-GIS experience, including:
- Geolocation from addresses to latitude and longitude.
- Utilizing web-based mapping software (e.g., OpenStreetMap or similar).
- Displaying and placing map markers on satellite imagery.
- Using distance measurement tools within a web browser.
Pay
Target salary range: $150,000 – $165,000, depending on education level, years of experience, and certifications.
Location: Fairfax, VA. This position requires on-site work and an active Secret clearance to view, discuss, and handle classified data in support of applications.
