About the role

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a talented .Net/C# Developer to support Veterans Affairs initiatives. This is a full-time, 100% U.S.-based remote position. U.S. Citizenship is required, and candidates from CA, CO, IL, MN, NJ, NY, OR, or WA will not be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform code reviews
• Perform system maintenance and enhancements
• Design and develop computer systems or programs, including prototypes, based on user-defined requirements
• Write code, programs, tests, and analyze new application software
• Work independently with IT functional units and business units

Requirements

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• 8+ years of .Net experience and/or 8+ years of C# experience
• Expertise with Containerization
• SQL DB experience
• AWS experience
• JIRA experience
• Experience in a high-paced DevOps environment
• Experience in large-scale Enterprise environments
• U.S. Citizenship required

Qualifications

• 8+ years of C# development experience
• 8+ years of .NET development experience
• AWS experience
• GIT experience
• Containerization experience
• Experience in large-scale Enterprise environments

Desired experience

• Electronic Data Interchange X.12 (EDI)
• Medical Claims X.12 (837, 834, 277, etc)
• T-SQL experience
• Experience in a high-paced DevOps environment
• Experience working with remote U.S.-based teams (not offshore teams)

Skills

• AWS Cloud Certification (a plus)

Formal Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software/Systems Engineering, or equivalent technical degree

Security Clearance Requirements

• Must possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI) security clearance

Pay

$85,389 – $116,975
