About the role

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a talented .Net/C# Developer for a full-time position supporting Veterans Affairs. Military veterans are highly encouraged to apply.

Security Clearance

Public Trust (MBI) clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Perform code reviews
• Perform system maintenance and enhancements
• Design and develop computer systems or programs, including prototypes, based on user-defined requirements
• Write code, programs, tests, and analyze new application software
• Work independently with IT functional units and business units

Required Skills and Experience

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• 8+ years of .Net experience and/or 8+ years of C# experience
• Expertise with Containerization
• SQL DB experience
• AWS experience
• JIRA experience
• Experience in a high-paced DevOps environment
• Experience in large-scale Enterprise environments
• U.S. Citizenship required

Desired Experience

• Electronic Data Interchange X.12 (EDI) experience
• Medical Claims X.12 (837, 834, 277, etc.) experience
• T-SQL experience
• Experience working with remote U.S.-based teams (not offshore teams)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software/Systems Engineering, or equivalent technical degree
