Overview
Handshake is seeking experienced professionals in the energy industry to contribute to AI research through flexible, hourly contract work. This opportunity does not fit the traditional job model. Your expertise in environmental health and safety, process safety, and regulatory compliance will be utilized to evaluate AI-generated content and provide feedback that enhances AI's understanding of EHS workflows and energy compliance practices. The position offers an ongoing, project-based role that can be taken alongside other commitments.
Details
- Using professional experience and hands-on knowledge of tools used in daily work to create expert-level training data and evaluate AI-generated responses for accuracy and relevance.
- No prior AI experience necessary.
- Fully remote with a flexible, asynchronous schedule and no minimum hour requirement; typical participation is 5–20 hours per week during active projects.
- Placement based on current project needs, with potential for consideration for future projects.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of professional experience in EHS, process safety, or energy regulatory compliance, including roles such as:
- EHS Specialist or Process Safety Engineer
- NERC CIP Analyst or Pipeline Integrity Engineer
- Or equivalent roles in the energy industry
- Hands-on experience with one or more of the following tools:
- Velocity
- EHSServiceNow
- Synergi Pipeline
- Strong written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and asynchronously with AI research teams.
