About the role
Seeking a Transplant Nephrologist and Medical Director to lead an Adult Kidney Transplant Program.
Responsibilities
- Oversee pre- and post-transplant care for kidney transplant candidates and recipients, including inpatient and outpatient management.
- Evaluate and provide post-donation care for living donors.
- Participate in Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives in compliance with CMS and UNOS regulations.
- Collaborate with leadership on clinical operations, workflows, program development, outreach, and referral growth.
- Manage administrative duties such as program development, quality improvement, and community engagement.
- Manage clinical aspects of kidney transplantation.
- Develop and grow the transplant program and outreach efforts.
- Guide quality initiatives and improve referral processes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and administrative staff.
Qualifications
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine and Transplant Nephrology Fellowship.
- Board Certified/Eligible in Internal Medicine and Nephrology.
- Ability to obtain a Virginia Medical License.
