Nephrology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Full-Time

About the role

A Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner is sought to join a Nephrology team, providing inpatient and outpatient care on a busy medical center campus. The role involves collaborative care, with responsibilities spanning inpatient and outpatient nephrology services, including dialysis management and post-transplant care. Responsibilities

• Participate in inpatient rounding with physician partners, including evaluation of acute kidney injury (AKI) and electrolyte issues
• Assist with outpatient dialysis rounding and inpatient consults
• Manage dialysis patients and write inpatient dialysis orders
• Support inpatient charting, documentation, and outpatient clinic visits
• Handle on-call duties one weekend per month

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physician Assistant studies (required); Master's preferred
• Training in Nephrology not required, as training will be provided
