About the Role

The Nephrology Dietitian utilizes nutrition expertise and clinical knowledge to educate patients on optimal health and wellness choices while living with kidney disease, enhancing their health, well-being, and quality of life. This role supports the nutritional health of patients at Satellite Healthcare by assessing individual needs, engaging patients and their families in goal-setting, developing personalized nutrition plans, and monitoring patient understanding and response to therapeutic nutrition interventions.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the nutritional needs of each patient with kidney disease.
  • Engage patients, families, or caregivers in establishing health goals and developing individualized nutrition plans.
  • Monitor patient understanding and response to therapeutic nutrition plans.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality, compassionate care.
  • Set a positive tone to help patients live better lives and address their needs holistically.
  • Seek opportunities to improve the environment for patients and staff.
  • Build relationships and act as a servant leader within the care team.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one (1) year of experience as a Registered Dietitian in clinical nutrition; two (2) years preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree and successful completion of a dietetic internship/supervised practice.
  • Registered Dietitian credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  • License required in states with Dietitian licensure (e.g., TX, TN).
