Nephrologist
About the role
Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group, Division of Nephrology seeks a Board certified/eligible Nephrologist to join their dynamic and collaborative group of 10 Nephrologists. The position offers the opportunity to practice Academic Nephrology, including in-patient consults, out-patient hemodialysis, general Nephrology clinic, peritoneal dialysis clinic, and specialty clinics. Additionally, there is an opportunity to train in Therapeutic Apheresis modalities and participate in patient care.
Responsibilities
- Clinical faculty appointment
- Practice general nephrology in various settings including in-patient consults, out-patient hemodialysis, general Nephrology clinic, peritoneal dialysis clinic, and specialty clinics
- Opportunity to participate in scholarly activities such as teaching medical students, residents, nephrology fellows, and conducting clinical research
- Opportunity to explore academic pursuits through teaching and/or research
- Participation in care for patients needing Apheresis therapy
Requirements
The ideal candidate must be Board certified/eligible in Nephrology. Candidates should have a strong interest in academic nephrology and be willing to engage in teaching and research activities.
Qualifications
The successful candidate should possess:
- A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- A current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of California
- Completion of an accredited ACGME/ACGME-approved residency program in Internal Medicine or Pediatrics
- Completion of an accredited ACGME/ACGME-approved fellowship program in Nephrology

Pay
$265,000 - $295,000, adjusted based upon years of experience and/or faculty rank.
