Valley Regional Medical Center is assisting a well-established neonatology group practice to recruit a new neonatologist to their team.
Responsibilities
- Cover two Level III NICUs along with L/D and Newborn Nursery service
- Call is from home, while experienced NPs provide 24/7 in-house coverage
- Full time/Part time available
About the Practice
Practice has served the South Texas/Brownsville market for 35 years. Physicians typically work from 7 am - 5 pm (shorter shifts when working weekends)
- 3 or 4 calls from home per week of service (3 calls one week, 4 calls the following week)
- The practice covers 2 weeks on / one week completely off, with call including both hospitals, with 24/7 NNP in-house coverage at both facilities
- Average deliveries combined is about 4,000 per year. Typical NICU census is 10 at Valley Regional, 12 at Valley Baptist
