About the role
Penn State Health St Joseph Medical Center is seeking a PRN Neonatologist to join a growing division that will consist of two Neonatologists and two Advanced Practice Providers, providing 24/7 coverage for a 12-bed Level 2 NICU.
This position includes daytime coverage and on-call duties from home. Advanced Practice Providers handle in-house coverage from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with the physician serving as backup when needed.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate daily rounds to actively manage NICU patients
- Ventilator weaning and respiratory management
- Nutrition adjustments and growth monitoring
- Laboratory review and interpretation
- Family meetings and communication
Requirements
- Board-certified Neonatologist (MD, DO, or foreign equivalent)
- Eligibility for medical licensure in Pennsylvania
