Neonatologist (Per Diem)
Responsibilities
- Staffing Model: 6 full-time Neonatologists
- Day coverage: 2 Neonatologists (7:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Night coverage: 1 in-house Neonatologist (5:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Transport: Nurse-driven team with physician oversight (avg. 15 transports/year)
- Procedures & Services:
- High-frequency ventilation (HFOV & HFJV)
- Inhaled nitric oxide
- Treatment hypothermia with aEEG
- Pediatric surgical patients
- No ECMO or cardiac surgery (except PDA ligations)
About the role
A state-of-the-art 40-bed Level III NICU with a supportive, experienced team.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Neonatology with recent experience required
- VA license required
