About the role
This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated physician to join an employed position within a busy, well-respected practice, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced clinical management for critically ill newborns within a state-of-the-art Level III NICU, collaborating closely with a comprehensive maternal-fetal medicine program and dedicated hospital-based pediatric subspecialists.
- Actively participate in regional clinical quality improvement (QI) initiatives and lead the intermittent clinical education and training of medical and physician assistant students.
- Fellowship training in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine required.

54-bed regional pediatric and neonatal inpatient center (including a 32-bed NICU, 15-bed Pediatric Inpatient Unit, and 7-bed PICU)
Serving a population of approximately 300,000 in the greater Evansville metropolitan area
Integrated referral network featuring an established Pediatric Specialty Clinic, comprehensive OB service line, and a regional perinatal footprint averaging 1,400 deliveries annually
Part of Ascension, a national nonprofit Catholic health system
Qualifications
- Licensure / Certification / Registration: Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
