About the role
This opportunity is suited for a provider who is excited to provide comprehensive care to high risk infants and their family members. Experience is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical care in a Neonatal ICU inpatient setting
- Conduct medical histories and perform complete physical examinations
- Initiate appropriate lab, radiology tests and other special tests required for evaluation
- Perform routine and specialized procedures as credentialed
- Prescribe and monitor medications
- Participate in medical team rounds and collaborate with physicians, nursing and other medical personnel
- Educate patient families and answer questions regarding their disease, treatments, related drug and treatment side effects and hazards
- Refer patients to specialists as appropriate
Required qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate Degree in Neonatal Nurse Practitioner from accredited program
- Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) required
- Active or Eligible to obtain an unrestricted licence in Nebraska
- BLS, PALS and NRP
- Commitment to providing high quality, compassionate care
Schedule
- Full Time (.9 FTE)
- Shifts are 12 and 24 hours
- Level II & III Neonatal Intensive Care Units
Practice details
- Experienced and Collegial Group of Neonatologists, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses and Support Staff
- First year of practice will be on campus of Creighton University Bergan Mercy Medical Center (level III NICU)
- Once fully oriented, may also provide care at CHI Lakeside Hospital (level III NICU) and CHI Immanuel Hospital (level II NICU)
Pay and benefits
- Hourly salary that includes shift differentials and quality bonuses

- Pay Range: $78.30 - 91.35 /hour
