Neonatal Nurse Practitioner

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care in neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), delivery rooms, step-down unit, and outpatient clinic.
• Assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic conditions in neonates.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, perform procedures such as intubation or central line placement.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Educate and support families, helping them navigate the care of their newborns and ensuring optimal outcomes.
