Nebraska Secondary ELA Instructional Coach

About the role

The Nebraska Secondary ELA Instructional Coach is responsible for supporting teachers in implementing effective ELA instruction across multiple schools within the district.

Responsibilities

• Supports teachers in developing and refining ELA instructional strategies.
• Mentors and coaches teachers to improve their practice based on district-wide standards and best practices.
• Evaluates teacher progress through observations and provides feedback.
• Collaborates with other instructional coaches and administrators to ensure consistent support for ELA instruction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
• At least 3 years of teaching experience at the secondary level.
• Experience in ELA curriculum development and implementation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Education or related field preferred.
• Experience working with diverse student populations.
• Knowledge of current educational research and trends in ELA education.

Skills

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to travel as needed.
