What You'll Do

• Collaborate with grades 6-12 ELA teachers to strengthen instruction
• Support curriculum implementation aligned to state standards
• Conduct classroom observations and provide actionable feedback
• Model lessons and co-teach to support instructional growth
• Lead professional development sessions on writing instruction, text complexity, close reading, academic vocabulary, and more
• Analyze student performance data to guide literacy interventions
• Help teachers design rigorous assessments and instructional materials
• Build teacher capacity through ongoing coaching cycles

Who You Are

• Bring deep expertise in Secondary ELA (grades 6-12)
• Show strong knowledge of reading, writing, and language standards
• Have experience coaching teachers or leading ELA departments
• Have data analysis skills to inform instruction
• Communicate complex ideas clearly
• Show strength in classroom management and instructional modeling
• Show organizational discipline and professionalism
• Have a problem-solving, customer-focused mindset
• Be able to drive into Nebraska from a bordering state (CO, IA, KS, SD, MO, WY)
