About the role

Responsible for conducting quality weld inspections using various methods in accordance with industry standards and contract specific requirements.

Provide factual, comprehensive data and draft reports for customers addressing NDT inspection criteria completely.

Coordination with Project Management, Production, Customers and Third Party Surveyors as required.

Preparation of Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Reports.

Review and Certification of Final Documentation for Customers.

Requirements

  • Must be qualified and certified to ASNT-TC-1A in Radiographic Testing (RT).
  • Previous Level II Certification to ASNT-TC-1A including documented objective evidence of classroom and on the job training experience.
  • Experience in the inspection of metal fabrications, pressure vessels, piping, tanks, or gas systems.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

  • Minimum NDT Level I / II certification.
  • Minimum 600 logged hours in Radiographic Testing (RT).
  • Proficiency in setting up and performing NDT test procedures.
  • Familiarity with interpreting specifications relative to NDT testing and acceptance/rejection criteria.
  • Ability to prepare written instructions and organize and report examination results.
  • Ability to work independently and support team members.

Skills

  • ASNT-TC-1A certification in Radiographic Testing (RT).
  • Experience in inspecting metal fabrications, pressure vessels, piping, tanks, or gas systems.
  • Strong organizational and reporting skills.
  • Ability to interpret and apply NDT testing specifications.
