NDT Technician - Level II

About the Role

Turner Industries, a leading industrial contractor, is seeking an experienced NDT Technician - Level II for a full-time position in Tuscaloosa, AL. The role involves performing nondestructive inspections, interpreting test data, maintaining equipment, and supervising NDE activities in accordance with referencing codes.

Responsibilities

• Conducts NDT inspections using various methods (RT, PT, MT, UTT, PMI)
• Interprets and reports results of inspections
• Provides support to Level III technicians
• Instructs and/or supervises trainees
• Performs additional assignments as directed by the supervisor

Qualifications

• Must have a trainer status state card
• Documented OJT and Classroom hours for all Level 2 methods (RT, PT, MT, UTT, PMI)
• Valid driver's license
• Valid TWIC card
• Ability to pass a background check and DISA drug screen
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Meets ASNT requirements for methods utilized
• Technical training and/or industrial-related safety experience

Requirements

• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
• Signed acceptance of Turner Industries Drug, Alcohol, and Contraband Policy
• Compliance with company and client job site safety requirements

Physical Requirements

• Climbing ladders, scaffolds, and structures above and below ground level
• Maintaining balance on elevated surfaces
• Reaching, handling, and manipulating objects and materials
• Lifting 30-50 lbs from various levels
• Standing, sitting, and walking for extended periods
• Seeing and hearing with or without correction
• Following set procedures, applying mathematical skills, and planning work
