NDT Technician Level 1 (FPI) - Day Shift

About the role

Conducts quality inspections using NDT methods such as X-ray, penetrant, and magnetic particle testing to evaluate surface and subsurface discontinuities, ensuring hardware meets customer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Certifies product conformance to customer specifications
• Develops and implements NDT techniques
• Performs inspections using RT, PT, and MP methods
• Maintains and performs preventative maintenance on NDT equipment
• Processes and verifies X-ray films
• Documents inspection results accurately
• Communicates with engineers regarding rework and scrap issues
• Maintains lot integrity
• Operates vapor degreaser and performs surface treatments
• Ensures paperwork accuracy and adherence to quality standards
• Adheres to safety protocols and environmental conditions in a production environment
• Assists in related areas as needed

Requirements

• Certified or capable of certifying in RT (Radiographic Testing), PT (Penetrant Testing), and MP (Magnetic Particle Testing)
• Proficient in interpreting specifications, blueprints, and measuring tools
• Effective communicator with problem-solving skills
• Physically capable of lifting up to 35 lbs., working in hazardous environments, and wearing protective gear
• Skilled in Microsoft Office
• Able to pass required certifications
