About the role
Conducts quality inspections using NDT methods such as X-ray, penetrant, and magnetic particle testing to evaluate surface and subsurface discontinuities, ensuring hardware meets customer specifications.
Responsibilities
- Certifies product conformance to customer specifications
- Develops and implements NDT techniques
- Performs inspections using RT, PT, and MP methods
- Maintains and performs preventative maintenance on NDT equipment
- Processes and verifies X-ray films
- Documents inspection results accurately
- Communicates with engineers regarding rework and scrap issues
- Maintains lot integrity
- Operates vapor degreaser and performs surface treatments
- Ensures paperwork accuracy and adherence to quality standards
- Adheres to safety protocols and environmental conditions in a production environment
- Assists in related areas as needed
Requirements
- Certified or capable of certifying in RT (Radiographic Testing), PT (Penetrant Testing), and MP (Magnetic Particle Testing)
- Proficient in interpreting specifications, blueprints, and measuring tools
- Effective communicator with problem-solving skills
- Physically capable of lifting up to 35 lbs., working in hazardous environments, and wearing protective gear
- Skilled in Microsoft Office
- Able to pass required certifications
