NDT Technician

Essential Functions

• Verifies conformance of product to shop drawings and contract requirements through: Dimensional checks with a tape measure to drawings, Visual inspection of welds, NDT testing to include MT, RT, and UT as applicable
• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
• Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
• Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results

Additional Duties

• Where to find and how to use the "parts-of-line" information
• Safe working load of the hoist line

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform each essential duty above average and always represent the company in a professional manner
• Level II MT, RT, and UT (min. of two certifications required)

Education and/or Experience

• A High School Diploma

Language Skills

• Must be able to communicate in a professional manner and show respect both orally or in written form effectively with co-workers, other departments, and managers

Reporting

• Reports directly to QC Lead and Shop Foreman
