NDT Service Lines - Quality Manager
Responsibilities
- Develop, review, revise, and approve NDT procedures, techniques, work instructions, and quality-related documentation in accordance with applicable codes, standards, customer requirements, and industry best practices.
- Serve as the corporate Level III resource for MT, PT, UTT, Leak Testing, MFL, and Eddy Current methods (advanced UT methods a plus but not required).
- Support service lines in the implementation and standardization of approved NDT procedures across all operating regions.
- Provide technical guidance and interpretation of NDT codes, standards, specifications, and procedures to operations personnel and customers.
- Support technician qualification and certification programs in accordance with SNT-TC-1A, CP-189, NAS-410, client requirements, and company procedures.
- Carry out technical audits of field operations, technicians, procedures, and inspection programs to ensure compliance and consistency.
- Evaluate new NDT technologies, methods, and inspection techniques for potential implementation across the organization.
- Partner with Service Line Managers and Operational Leadership to identify training needs and technical competency development opportunities.
- Aid with customer audits, technical presentations, qualification reviews, and proposal support activities as required.
- Participate in root cause investigations and corrective action development related to quality events, technical findings, and customer concerns.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in the NDT industry.
- Current ASNT Level III certifications in: Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), Ultrasonic Thickness Testing (UTT), Leak Testing (LT), Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL), and Eddy Current Testing (ET).
- Demonstrated experience developing, writing, revising, and implementing NDT procedures.
- Previous experience supporting technician certification and qualification programs.
- Experience leading quality initiatives across multiple locations, business units, or service lines preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Technical Discipline, or equivalent industry experience preferred.
- Additional Level III certifications in RT, UT, PAUT, TOFD, or other advanced methods are considered a strong asset.
