About The Role
We're looking for a very experienced full-service bookkeeper to manage the end-to-end finance function for a client of our bookkeeping/CFO Advisory firm. This client is an NDIS business. You'll own day-to-day bookkeeping, payroll, invoicing, and claims, working closely with our management team.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-cycle bookkeeping in Xero: bank reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, month-end close
- Payroll processing under the SCHADS Award, including correct classification, penalty rates, allowances, and pay point progression
- Payroll administration and employee records via Employment Hero
- NDIS claiming and payment requests through PRODA / PACE, including resolving rejected claims
- Rostering, timesheet, and invoicing workflows in ShiftCare
- Managing the accounts inbox: supplier bills, invoice queries, and email correspondence
- BAS/IAS preparation support and liaising with our external accountant
- Maintaining accurate records for NDIS audit and compliance requirements
Required Experience
- 7+ years bookkeeping for Australian businesses, with significant NDIS provider experience
- Proven expertise interpreting and applying the SCHADS Award in payroll
- Proficient in Xero, Employment Hero, ShiftCare, and PRODA
- Strong understanding of NDIS price guide, claiming rules, and plan-managed/self-managed/agency-managed billing
- Excellent written English and confident managing email communication with suppliers, participants, and plan managers
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work autonomously across Australian business hours
