About the role

The Construction Services Business Class Lead position is available in HDR's North Carolina Water Business Group, based in Charlotte, Raleigh, or Winston-Salem. This role oversees the delivery of construction projects and leads a team of professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the delivery of individual and a portfolio of construction projects of our growing municipal water business while coordinating and engaging directly with project, design, and client management teams.
  • Lead our Construction Services team, including Construction Services Project Managers, Resident Project Representatives, and Administrative Support.
  • Partner with our design teams and technical staff for the construction phase of projects to ensure the successful implementation of designs into installed infrastructure.
  • Maintain continuous contact with clients and contractors regarding ongoing construction projects.
  • May require occasional field construction inspection and frequent on-site visits to active construction sites.

Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience managing a team
  • 15 years of experience in construction related field
  • Experience with construction management software packages and Microsoft Office Suite, Prolog, Primavera, and related programs is preferred
  • Excellent communication, leadership and planning skills, and ability to thrive in a team environment
  • Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field, 10 years of experience, and a commitment to quality, improvement, and HDR values.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with construction management software packages and Microsoft Office Suite, Prolog, Primavera, and related programs is preferred
  • Excellent communication, leadership and planning skills, and ability to thrive in a team environment
  • Partnership with our design teams and technical staff for the construction phase of projects to ensure the successful implementation of designs into installed infrastructure

Pay

Negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
